Please note: Alfred is now called Vinton but this blog was published prior to the name change.

On 12 September 2023, a new version of Alfred (now known as Vinton), the Meeting Assistant and Sales productivity tool for Salesforce, was announced to mark the start of Dreamforce 2023.

This latest version of Alfred is able to join video meetings, transcribing and automatically preparing call notes in Salesforce. Notes are captured against related Leads, Contacts, Accounts, Opportunities, Cases and any other (including custom) objects. Where Alfred started out as an effective audio notes tool, it’s now become a full Salesforce personal assistant that helps with the admin for meetings and other customer interactions.

Alfred works with Microsoft Teams, Google Meet and Zoom. Using artificial intelligence, Alfred creates summaries from meetings or audio notes, suggests next step tasks which can be converted into Salesforce Tasks, and even drafts a follow-up email. With Alfred taking over admin tasks, sales teams can be more efficient and effective, empowered to build deeper customer relationships and win more deals.

Alfred’s intelligent audio notes functionality remains central to the tool and allows sales teams to tell Alfred about other client interactions that don’t take place on video calls. Face to face meetings, phone conversations, text messages – all can be told to Alfred in an audio note to Alfred and converted to text summaries in the relevant Salesforce records.

Alfred is a freemium product, free for up to five users. For Dreamforce 2023, we’re also offering a 50% discount for the first year. And if you have an existing subscription with competing, but not native to Salesforce, solutions such as Gong, Chorus, Otter, Fireflies, we’re offering Alfred for free for the remainder of that contract.*

A summary of Alfred’s features

  • Alfred was designed and built as a native, Salesforce-first solution. This means that all of that rich content captured from recordings and audio notes is saved directly in Salesforce records
  • Alfred is multi-lingual and works in 30+ languages. Choose your language preferences. Keep the original language of the transcript or translate it into English (or any of the other 30 languages)
  • Personalize the way in which information is extracted and formatted through the AI but customizing the prompts
  • Add custom vocabulary to ensure names, jargon and acronyms are transcribed correctly
  • No limits on call minutes captured and no limit to transcriptions
  • Alfred works in concurrent meetings so different team members can have Alfred attend concurrent calls
  • Because Alfred is platform-built, data and events can be used to create triggers for other actions
  • Alfred works within Salesforce so is available both on desktop and the Salesforce mobile app
  • Alfred was designed to work with any LLM so can be configured to use a company’s preferred GPT tool

Nick Tassini, CEO at Nativevideo said, “Alfred’s new meeting recording functionality and its existing audio notes capabilities are game-changing for Salesforce customers. Strategically, Alfred enhances the quantity, quality and accuracy of the data from business and client conversations, and is the ideal companion on the journey to GPT-readiness, enabling your organization to take full advantage of the transformation that AI will bring.”
