Thank you for choosing Alfred by Nativevideo. Let’s install it together.

First we are in our Org. We go to the setup and we look for digital experiences. We’re looking for the settings. And in settings we need to enable digital experiences, and this is a prerequisite so that our code will work in the Org with no problem. There’s no commercial implication, no changes to your Org at all.

When we are done, we can go to the AppExchange and look for Nativevideo. In the AppExchange, we want to make sure that we have the right app. (Make sure you get the Freemium version, not the free.)

And let’s get it now. As we click on Get it now, a window asks us to select which environment, production or sandbox. I choose a production environment and here you can see the details of the licence 5 users for free forever with our 5F promise. This will take a second.

And then we will see the confirmation of the installation, but we will need to log in again. We do the login very quickly and this is where we choose who we make it available for and this will be for all users.

We agree and continue on that screen and this is now taking its time to make sure that it’s installing. And granting access to all.

Sometimes it will take longer and like in this case we will get a message that says look, it’s taking longer. Wait a second. We’ll let you know when it’s installed. You’ll receive an e-mail or you can refresh this page and you’ll see that the package will now be installed in your Org.

OK, we’re now ready to connect the Nativevideo backend to our Org. We need to go to the App Launcher (the nine dots) and look for Nativevideo admin. In the Nativevideo admin we will by default be on Nativevideo configurations. And this is where first step we choose which region we want to connect to our media. And and as you can see, we have currently three choices: US, Asia and Europe. In my case, I’m choosing Europe. That will be related to your data policy and your Salesforce data location.

Once we save this, we can go to the second tab with the Buffy connector. Buffy is the internal name that we’ve given to our current version of the media backend we allow access. And as we refresh this page now closing this little window we will be able to confirm that we are connected to the media backend and Nativevideo is active and available in your org. Let’s now proceed and install Alfred in our org as a first step. We go to the app launcher (the nine dots), and we look for Nativevideo admin. In the admin, among the configurations, we will need to enable a few advanced options so we toggle advanced option and we select enable transcription, enable sentiment on transcription and enable action item on transcriptions ready to save this and now Nativevideo and our org is ready for Alfred.

So we can go to the AppExchange, look for Alfred in the search bar, and when we land on the app page, we can click on get it now. Now, as always, we need to select the environment. In my case, it’s going to be production environment. I agree to the terms and conditions that will enable 5 free licences in my org. I need to confirm my login and as always I need to also confirm that I want to install it for all my users. This will take considerably less time than Nativevideo. It’s a very small configuration package. And we now have our package installed in our org.

The next step is to enable our users. So let’s actually go to selecting the users from our setup menu. In my case, Jane, I want to enable Jane to use Alfred, one of the five licences that I have. The first step is to assign permission sets to Jane, and both Alfred permission and Nativevideo permissions will need to be assigned to her. And then we also want to scroll all the way down and assign a licence for both Alfred and Nativevideo to Jane. There we go. Now Jane is enabled to use our Alfred.

What we want to do as a last step is to make sure that Alfred is available for our users. We need to choose an object. In my case, I can choose Contacts. It could be an opportunity, it could be an account, it could be in a lead. The installation and configuration will be exactly the same, so we go to the page we click on edit page and we look for Alfred Components from the list. We add both the recorder and the player component on the page. In my case on the right hand column. And now we save it and our users are ready to record their first Alfred.

Let’s test it together. We click on “Hey, Alfred”, we will need to allow our microphone to access the Org. And now welcome to Alfred. There we go. Now a quick finalisation. And we can see success. Welcome to Alfred. Alfred is ready for our users.
